“Student's Conduct and Discipline Rules

Attendance, Punctuality and Discipline“

These Rules Shall apply to all the students of MAHARANA PRATAP COLLEGE FOR TEACHER’S TRAINING.

GENERAL CODES
  1. student should come to college in decent outfits.
  2. Smoking and use of Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  3. Mobile tones should be switched off in college premises, classrooms and labs. It can be used in the Lunch break time.
  4. I-card is mandatory to bring. The security at the main gate or any authoritarian person can check I-card and Personal belongings.
  5. Only I-card holders are allowed in college premises. No outsider is allowed in college premises without administrative permission.
ACADEMICS RULES
  1. All six days (Mon-sat) are working days except holidays.
  2. College timings are 10:00am to 3:00pm.
  3. 75%attendance in theory is mandatory. No relaxation of any kind will be granted to a student who fails to fulfill the college's requirement. In case attendance is short, the student will not be eligible for final Examination.
  4. A student’s name will be struck off the rolls on account of continued, unexplained absence for 1 Month.
  5. There is no provision for short/ half day leave. Absence from the college for social functions should be discouraged.
  6. A student must take permission from concerned lecturer and head before proceeding on leave.
  7. If the student is late to college more than twice, he/she will not be allowed to attend the college.
ACTS OF INDISCIPLINE AND MISCONDUCT
  1. Damaging or defacing college property or the property of the members of the college or any other property inside or outside the college premises.
  2. Engaging in any attempt as Wfongful confinement of teachers, officers, employees and students of the college or camping inside or creating nuisance inside the boundaries of the college.
  3. Use of abusive and derogatory slogans or intimidâtory language or Incitement of hatred and violence or any art calculated to further the same.
  4. Eve-teasin g or disrespectful behaviour to women or girl students.
  5. Any assault upon or intimidation of or insulting behaviour towards a teacher, officer, employee or Student or any other person.
  6. Getting enrolled inmore than one course of study simultaneously in violation of university rules.
  7. Committing forgery, tempering with or misuse of college documents or records, identification cards etc.
  8. Indulging in att of gambling in the college premises.
  9. Possessing or using weapons such as knives, lathis, iron chains, iron rods, sticks, explosives and fire arms in the college- premises.
  10. Arousing communal, caste or regional feeling or creating disharmony among students.
  11. Tearing of pages, defacing, burning or destroying books of library or seminars.
  12. Pasting of posters or distributing pamphlets, handbills etc. of objectionable writing on the walls and disfiguring building.
  13. Any act of moral turpitude.
RULES FOR COMPUTER LAB
  1. Students will be allowed to work in computer lab during practical hours only. Permission of the concerned lecturer is must if anyone wants extra hours.
  2. Visiting internet sites that are unethical, banned and not used for academic purpose is strictly prohibited.
  3. Using E-mail facility for personal purpose, chatting, playing computer games is strictly prohibited.
  4. Any student found misusing computer facility will be liable for disciplinary action.
ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
  1. All students should know themselves regarding the office timings and other administrative and examination matters, for the same it is expected to read notices displayed from time to time.
  2. College administration is not answerable or responsible for any misread or misplace of notices by the students.
NATURE OF PENALTIES
  1. Written warning and information to the guardian.
  2. Fine as may be warranted by the nature of case.
  3. Suspension from the class/college/(library/labsorwithdrawalof any other facility of this nature.
  4. Recovery of pecuniary loss caused to the college property.
  5. Non-issue of character certificate.

The punishment as a consequence of disciplinary action may be as follows:

  1. Warning
  2. Censure
  3. Fine
  4. Suspension
  5. Rustication
Note:

The above rules are made for the smooth functioning of the college and its progress. Thesauruses can be modified from time to tlme depending on the situation and new developments. Further in anY dispute/conflicts of opinion as interpretation of any of the rules the decision of the chairman shall be fina) and binding on all.
